Picture_014 pulau sejahat reclaimed

This island was possibly part of the integral defence of the Johore Straits when Singapore was a British Colony. It is located within the stretch of waters between Pulau Tekong and Changi Jetty.

Off eastern coast of Singapore Disused barracks, kitchens, toilets, a watchtower and even gun battery positions still exist on the island.

Errata - 3 more days

Chye Teck visited the space earlier. The only reason we allowed him to see the space because he was departing for Jarkarta on Monday. As the opening drew closer, fresh paint, more wall plugs were used. Sand Paper of different grades too. boon

Paul Lincoln\'s Show

I suppose for all of you that didn't make it for the show, you want some pictures. 16 degrees re-conditioned had been on for a month, blazing the hot afternoons, chilling parts of the gallery and heating up the other. Such a dilemma for an art space! One thing for sure, the Electricity bills DID ADD UP QUITE A BIT. Budding philanthropists and sponsors for the Arts, read this!

What exactly did the space look like?

Koh's Show

Many of you probably realise that Art History is a difficult thing to
grasp, especially when we try to talk about Singapore Art coherently. Do we, as a young nation of 39 years, actually have a surmountable,
interesting movements of artists to talk about, and say 'hey, we sure
did something special back then'.

Koh Nguang How's upcoming show, 'Errata' for short, will address an
empirical manner of collating data, images that build up to a History,
a monologue in the story of Singapore art. This is what his residency room looks like at the moment.web_blog01.jpg

but with one hour to go before closing...

I thought, "The museum will have to wait till tommorrow."

2:15 AM 8/27/2004 (Brisbane Time) Went to the opening just now. So after meeting some Brisbaners... a nice
dinner - Kangaroo burger.
